Whooaa

Terry and I had quite the adventure the other day. It was decided that our barn needed a light, so guess who got put on the job? That's right, I did. We climbed into the bucket of our neighbors telehandler, and up we went! This machine has been "well loved" and every now and then, it would begin to sink back down, and it would have to be raised back up. Well, I didn't know it was going to do that, so in an attempt to help Terry lift this huge light, I was leaning against the barn. When the bucket started to move, I only freaked out a little, but I tend to say "whoa, whoa, whoa" when something unexpected happens, and unexpected that was! Terry wasn't quite prepared for it either, because he quickly grabbed a hold of my shirt (like that was going to save me!) It really wasn't that bad though, and I would definitely do it again! The sad part is, we haven't even turned the light on!

We waved to Oliver, and told Sherri to share him with my mom if anything happened ;)

The Zoo!

Oliver and I had the opportunity to go to the zoo with some friends. Oliver was in a terrible mood on the way over, so I thought we were in for a long day. Much to my surprise however, he did great! We got to see giraffes, penguins, hyenas, a leopard, a lion, and lots more! I think the best part though was getting to feed the goats! It was awesome to have an interactive part at the zoo! Oliver was trying to grab the goats by ears. It's so much fun getting to watch him learn to play with other kids. We had an awesome time and can't wait to go again!

Easter 2013

Oliver had his first Easter! I think he had quite a bit of fun too! We went to Darcia and Levi's to celebrate the Saturday before. We had some good food, a water gun fight, and an Easter egg hunt! We sure did miss out on seeing Anna, Dian, Jenny, and their families. We are so excited for their visit this summer. Here are plenty of pictures to show our day.

The Hunt

 Everyone checking out their goodies

See that rock? It went in his mouth.
 The Egg Race

I brought real eggs, not knowing I should have brought plastic ones full of candy (duh..) I heard a little boy say he threw his in the garbage, but hey, my kid ate his!

Becca's face was covered in chocolate!
 Water Gun Fight

Oliver proceeded to dump the water out of the bucket.

We had a fun Easter and we are so grateful for our Savior and his great sacrifice that we will one day be able to return unto him and be an eternal family.

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

The last couple of months have been rather busy, so instead of a boring post you have to read, here are some pictures of some of the things we've been up to!

We've folded laundry.
Oliver likes to climb in to any of the laundry baskets. The round black one is especially fun because he can roll around in it!
   Hung out.
Oliver wants to be just like his dad, when Terry is home, Oliver is stuck like glue to him! He is also getting close to only taking one nap a day, the picture on the right he conked out at Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's house.

 Made new friends!
Left- We went and saw Grandma Craig, (she was my "Emmett" grandma while growing up.)  Right- Logan and Oliver getting close!

 We play.
This was originally a video, but I can't get them to upload for some reason! This is Oliver and his cousin Stryker wrestling at Grandma Jensen's house. They're already buddies!

Went to work!
Oliver can't wait to go to work with his dad! Left- He heard the tractor going and was not about to let it leave his sight. Right- We took Terry some water and Oliver just had to get dirty!

We painted.
I refinished our table and chairs.

We ate.
Look at him crossing his cute little legs!

Just a little bit of what we have been up to! Terry has been out working on getting everything ready for the new farm season. It's right around the corner, literally, they turn the water in on Monday, at least that's what Terry said... We are looking forward to the warm weather and being outside!

Hate to Eat and Run!

Since he has learned to crawl, Oliver does not sit still. He wants to be into and playing with absolutely everything! Who can blame him? The wood stove has pretty colors in it this time of year, and dad's mud and grease covered work boots are so very enticing, at least to Oliver... He gets so busy exploring his house that he doesn't even like to stop and eat. He WANTS to eat, trust me he does, but he doesn't want to have to stop to do it. So, occasionally, I give in and we come to a mutual agreement:

Yes, he is eating and crawling at the same time. He's hungry (and grumpy from hunger) but he is like his father and rather stubborn and won't stop what he's doing, and if I make him... it just isn't pretty. We don't do this very often, but he sure loves it when I let him get away with it! I think he must have been a cow in an earlier life, if we believed in that stuff.... But he sure would make the cutest little calf!

Here Comes A Drought

Terry calls Oliver a little fish because of how much he LOVES the water. So, at the end of his bath as the water was draining, Terry says to Oliver, "Oh no! A drought is coming! The water is out, the little fish better evolve!" It was too funny and I just had to share.

Oliver the Tractor

As I'm sure you could guess... we really love our little guy! We love him so much... we named him after a tractor. Every farm boy's dream, right?? Okay, well, mostly Terry named him after a tractor. I fell in love with the name Oliver BEFORE Terry told me it was also a tractor brand. So, not only did we name him after a tractor (in a-round-about away) we got him that tractor!
That's right here is our newest addition. Oliver the Tractor. Spoiled kid.

The previous owners had repainted it and covered up the "Oliver" on the sides, so here's proof it's really an Oliver!

Terry says we really needed this particular size of tractor, and the price was right, it just happened to be a fun coincidence that it was an Oliver!
Now we have to name all of our children after tractors for all fairness... Mac Don, Allis, Holland.... we'll keep looking....

Oliver and his perfect sized rocking tractor.
