Out With The Old

I was tired of not sharing the "love" with the exterior of our house. So we changed that! We know there are a lot of haters when it comes to painted brick, but we did it anyways! In this first picture below, I really hated how the stone was pink and the brick was red. If it were all red, we wouldn't have done a thing, except stain the wood. We were anticipating the color to be a couple shades darker, but over all we really love how it turned out! Everything seems so much more uniform and modern.

We aren't completely finished with the touch up stuff, but we are so glad we did this!!

One more thing checked off our "To Do" list.

Work From Home

Did I ever mention how much I LOVE farming?? We get to see our work progress, literally, right before our eyes, we get to go to work with dad, and we get to teach our children to work by example. The BEST part though, is getting to see Terry any time we want! Oliver and I will go out and work with Terry just about any time either of us is feeling up to packing him around. But, since Terry works in the backyard, he gets to come in anytime he wants. He will go out and irrigate and come in for breakfast. He'll go tinker on some piece of machinery he broke, then come inside for a break, go back out, come in for lunch... we'll go out and see him, he'll follow us inside... etc. It's GREAT! Not many wives are able to see their husband, ANYTIME they want! Once Oliver is a little older, he'll be able to go out with Terry without me having to tag along. Oliver is so attached to his dad, it really tugs on my heartstrings at the thought of them being able to "work" together on something they both love, Tractors. I'm one lucky lady to have these two guys!
They got to check out grandpa's new tractor here!

I knew that Oliver would learn to wrestle  eventually, I didn't realize it would be so soon! He's all about it, all the time! This is what happens at lunch time.

Oliver prefers the backhoe over the skid steer. He's very opinionated about his work, and not thrilled here...
